Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and Bachelor of Commerce, and Master of Laws degrees specialising in corporations and general commercial law.

Beginning his career with a boutique city commercial firm, he rose to become a partner, heading their property and commercial divisions. Jeremy then moved to a larger commercial firm, as a leading member of their commercial and intellectual property teams.

Jeremy has also been a director of several public and private companies, in a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, construction, consulting, international trade and not-for-profit.

Jeremy’s experience gained from his legal and commercial careers enables him to practice across the diverse spectrum of commercial law. This experience also qualifies Jeremy to be our senior Business Legal Counsel™.

Jeremy’s clients include financial services groups and financial planners. Jeremy has taken an active role in financial product development, including managed investment schemes and derivatives.

Jeremy also deals with franchising issues, acting for franchisors ranging in size from 20 to 150 franchisees in a diverse range of industries including food, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism. He also advises clients on trademark, copyright and general intellectual property issues.

Jeremy has acted for property developers, advising on the development of shopping centres, residential developments (both large and small scale) and finance and investment structures associated with property development. He is also experienced in commercial, industrial and residential leasing.

Jeremy’s passion however is giving commonsense commercial legal advice. As his long-standing clients can attest, Jeremy tackles commercial legal concerns with entrepreneurial flair and is focussed on achieving commonsense legal outcomes that encompass the whole picture.
