There are many good reasons to make a Power of Attorney. For example, you may use it for a specific task such as allowing your Attorney to sign your contract on your behalf, or can use it to plan for the future, in the case where you become mentally incapable of acting.

You must ensure that the Attorney does not have a conflict of interest that would make it impossible to act in your best interests and you must ensure that the person you choose understands your wishes.
